Big Bear: Merriam's Chipmunk

Though I didn't take many successful bird photographs during my morning at Big Bear a few weeks ago, I was pleased with these shots of a chipmunk!

Apparently out of the dozen or so chipmunk species in California, this chipmunk is most likely a Merriam's Chipmunk.

I don't know who Merriam was!
