More birds from the EcoParque Lago de las Garzas in Cali, Colombia, from December of last year.
The Rusty-margined Flycatcher is one of many Great Kiskadee look-alikes. There are also Great Kiskadees in Cali, but this bird is a bit smaller (7 vs. 8.5 inches) and has a very distinct high-pitched call.

The Gray-cowled Wood-Rail is found in Panama and much of South America. Apparently it is seen in the open more frequently than the typical, elusive rail hidden in a marsh:
