Stage 6 of the 2023 Tour de France, atop the Tourmalet:
French President Macron arrived by helicopter, and greeted fans before joining Christian Prudhomme in the race director's car.
Jai Hindley and the yellow jersey group, including Thibaut Pinot and Simon Yates, approach the summit.
Hindley would lose the jersey to Vingegaard on the stage.
Vingegaard and Pogacar follow two minutes later. Pogacar would win the stage by 24 seconds over Vingegaard, who would take the overall lead. Vingegaard, of course, would win the Tour when Pogacar would falter in the Alps during Week 3.
Alaphilippe had been in the breakaway, but was now a minute behind Vingegaard and Pogacar:

This would be the third and last stage of the 2023 Tour I watched. It was a thrill to see the Tour, which is so much more than a bike race, but a three-week spectacle like no other!
