Forster's Tern

A Forster's Tern tries to maintain its balance on a pole in the estuary at Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve in Huntington Beach, CA.

Photographed on a very windy late afternoon (it's very windy almost EVERY afternoon at Bolsa Chica!) in May of this year.
