Snowy Plover

My target bird for my afternoon in Imperial Beach last Friday was the Snowy Plover.

Though I only saw two plovers on the stretch of beach north of the Tijuana River Mouth, I was pleased to photograph this bird on top of a rise in the nice light shortly before sunset.
