The Common Pauraque is a nocturnal bird, which hunts for insects at night.
It is found in southernmost Texas, much of Mexico, Central and South America.
This one was photographed three weeks ago in La Tovara National Park, in San Blas, Nayarit, Mexico. It is illuminated by the flashlight of Francisco Garcia, my friend and excellent birding guide in San Blas.
Beautiful lighting ! Nicely done !
