I believe that this is a male Common Blackbird, whose feathers are molting in the late summer.
While the Common Blackbird is, ahem, common throughout Europe, it is a different bird from the blackbirds found in North America, which include Brewer's Blackbird (more prevalent in the west), and Rusty Blackbird (more prevalent in the east).
The Common Blackbird is also known as Blackbird, or Eurasian Blackbird. It is the blackbird that the Beatles sang about!
