Tom Boonen is a Belgian cycling star, winner of countless one-day races, as well as the world championship race and multiple stages of the Tour de France.
Here he competes in the Folsom time trial in the 2016 Tour of California.

Sagan on Laurel Street
Peter Sagan sits comfortably in the peloton as it ascends Laurel Street, which, at an 18% gradient, is one of the steepest hills in San Diego, and though short, has the steepest gradient in this year's Tour of California. The peloton was taking it quite slow up the hill, after all, they were just five miles into an eight day, nearly 800 mile race!

Peter Sagan Wins in San Diego
Peter Sagan, winner of the overall 2015 Tour of California, started the 2016 Tour of California on a winning note, placing first in a field sprint to take the stage and the yellow jersey.
Here he celebrates his victory just after crossing the finish line, ahead of disappointed Wouter Wippert in the green Cannondale jersey.
Sagan wears the rainbow jersey for winning the 2015 World Championship road race held in Norfolk, Virginia.

Elegant Terns
A group of Elegant Terns gathers on the beach in San Felipe, apparently discussing the merits of various brands of hair gel.
Did you know? Almost all Elegant Terns breed in one spot, Isla Rasa, in the Sea of Cortez (about 150 miles south of San Felipe). A large colony also breeds at the Bolsa Chica wetlands in Orange County, and a few may breed in San Diego County. Wikipedia reports that some also breed on Montague Island, where the Colorado River enters the Sea of Cortez.
