Day of the Dead

Day of the Dead involves more than costumes and celebrations. It is a time when throughout Mexico, graves of loved ones are visited, and often decorated with marigolds, candles, and other mementos that the deceased enjoyed in life. Here is a gentleman visiting a grave in Xoxocotlan, Oaxaca.
