I am a photographer based in San Diego. I now specialize in bird photography, but also regularly photograph scenes of Mexico, Route 66, tennis, bicycle racing, flowers, and people. My work hangs in galleries in San Diego and elsewhere, and I am available for slide shows, lectures, and exhibitions.
A Savannah Sparrow, photographed recently near the Salton Sea. Out of focus twigs in front and behind the bird help give the dreamy effect of the photograph.
I believe this is a Greater Yellowlegs (and not a Lesser Yellowlegs) because the bill is considerably longer than its head. Photographed last weekend near Ensenada, Baja California.
