I am a photographer based in San Diego. I now specialize in bird photography, but also regularly photograph scenes of Mexico, Route 66, tennis, bicycle racing, flowers, and people. My work hangs in galleries in San Diego and elsewhere, and I am available for slide shows, lectures, and exhibitions.
Pilgrims come by the thousands to Izamal, Yucatan, especially on December 8, the day of the Festival of the Virgin of Izamal. Here, hundreds of candles are left in front of a picture of the virgin.
Iona Chamberlin has restored a lovely hacienda on the outskirts of Merida, Yucatan, the Hacienda San Pedro Nohpat, and converted it to a bed and breakfast. She also rescues injured parrots. Here is one named Chicky. It may be a yellow-lored parrot.
