Birds

I've been busy posting lots of bird photographs from recent (and not so recent) trips to the Salton Sea, at my pbase bird gallery. If you haven't looked lately, be sure to visit and check them out!

Here's one. For you birders, what kind of hawk do you think this is? (I'm not a birder, I'm relying on my sister. My initial impression, evidently, was wrong).

S is for Silhouette

I'm collecting a series of bird silhouettes. This shot of an acorn woodpecker was taken two weeks ago at a workshop I helped teach at Mount Laguna, (east of San Diego).
