If you like to shoot panoramas, then Photoshop CS3 is a must. I rarely shoot a panorama, but a recent trip to the Grand Canyon afforded an opportunity to try my hand. This shot is a result of five separate images, stitched with the new auto–align layers and auto–blend layers commands.
I simply placed each image as a new layer in Photoshop, highlighted all of the layers, clicked auto-align, then auto blend (found under the Edit menu). It took a little while for my Macbook Pro to process the images, but when done, the result was flawless! There were no visible seams and the tonal transitions were smooth. (Now, if only there had been a few more pink clouds that morning!)
