As part of its Festival of the Virgin of Izamal, a number of rustic bullfights are held in a temporary bullring consisting mostly of sticks lashed together. A girl looks up at one of the local bullfighters.

I attended a bullfight in Tijuana last Saturday in a new venue, the charreada arena called Villa Charra del Gato Bronco. Much of it occured after sunset and was rather dimly lit--perfect for my abstract motion technique! Here is a picador engaging the bull:
