Tizimin Plaza de Toros

The temporary bullring in Tizimin was unlike any structure I have ever been in! It consisted of poles, planks, and palm fronds lashed together with rope and fibers.

In fact, after seeing photos of this bullring online, I specifically planned my trip to coincide with a bullfight there. Here my friends Peter and Heidi take their seats on the third level of the scaffold-like structure. Heidi at tizimin bullring copy
